A memorial portrait of my sister’s Jack Russell Terrier, Ralphie Boy - gouache and acrylic on a 6" inch square wood panel.
Recent commission, landscape of a location in Stonington, CT. Gouache and Acrylic on canvas, 15” x 37”.
A 6" inch square wood panel painting of a barn in Stonington, CT.
This is Mouse...a wonderful three-legged dog (although you can’t tell here.) She’s wearing a lovely pink-purple necklace as she’s sometime’s been mistaken for a male. I like painting these types of pet portraits on 6” square wood panels.
Painting created for A Time and a Place exhibit at The Artists' House Gallery.
An image from the town of Soufrière on the Caribbean island, Dominica. Created for a Small Works show at the Artists' House Gallery.
Painting of Port Clyde, Maine created for a Small Works show at the Artists' House Gallery.
This painting started out as a live painting project for a Story Salon event, “Bring It Back” at the Montclair Art Museum. I painted for two hours live, then took it home to finish it up. It was a great challenge and turned out to be great fun. The image is taken from a postcard from the 1970s, not something I’d normally take for inspiration, but it fit the theme.
A 4 3/4" by 5" wood panel painting on wood of a Maine lobster done as part of a Primary Fish series that included a Blue Tang and Yellow French Grunt.
This was a scene I tripped across when visiting a midtown building.
Brooklyn fire truck close-up.
